Today (October 25th 2022) we had our Trustees’ Meeting online. These meetings are an essential part of effectively running a Charity and a business and they allow us to stop, to draw breath and to reflect on our progress so far. We also use these meetings to plan our next steps. We were able to consider the outputs and activities over the previous year and to discuss the valuable role of Ambassadors, Trustees and sponsors. Today we discussed the provisions of the Charities Act 2022 and the new Public Benefit rules. It is easy in a busy Charity to lose track of time and to forget to keep an eye on the Charities Commission guidance and rules so I am glad that we found the time to concentrate on these important topics. We are lucky to have an excellent group of Trustees and I am grateful that they support me as Stormwater Shepherds UK goes from strength to strength. If you run a Charity, take a little time to check out the new guidance on the Commission’s website here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/public-benefit-rules-for-charities
